Where does a downpipe have to drain to?
To the property's stormwater drain, which runs to the council's legal point of discharge. It cannot simply spill onto a neighbour's land.
Does a heritage overlay matter for gutters?
It can. Some councils need a permit before visible gutters or downpipes change on a heritage property, so it is checked first.
